Got a tad bit sideways... It was awesome! And I'm more in love than I thought I could be! I will post a Oppo review sometime soon. Big thanks to all of you guys and Tom McParland (AutoMatch) for helping me out.

It's the R-Spec model. Any owners have any tips/recommendations?

For Genesis owners, I figured out how to fully turn the TSC off: hold the "TSC off" button for 3+ seconds to disable the braking as well as the power cut. Just pressing the button only disables the power cut off.

Congrats, I like the Genesis Coupe. I seriously thought of one when I got my ST. In the end, the desire for 4 doors beat out the coupe.

be careful disabling the TSC and wrapping it around a pole.

I was going to use the same Jalopnik review point review if that's cool?

Whatever you want...it's your post. But a Jalopnik style review would be really cool.

I need to take it autocrossing soon so I can find the limit, but yeah I should be extremely careful till (and probably even after) then.

Nice! If I wasn't a bit of a Chevy fan, I'd probably choose the GC out of the sports cars in its range. In fact, because it is less common than a Camaro, I'd almost buy it over a camaro anyway.

Looking forward to your review!

Congrats, I've had your car's little brother(2.0) for about 2 months now, and I love it. My only complaint is the Transmission, my last car was a '92 Integra (22 years old) and I don't know if I'm spoiled or what, but IN that car rowing through the gears was smooth and seamless, In the Genesis I feel like the transmission is fighting me every time I shift. I've already asked the dealer about it once, and he said maybe it needed to get "Broke In" and that I should bring it back once i have 2500 miles on it...That's coming up soon

I've heard complaints that the Genesis' transmissions are clunky, and I find that to be true especially around 1st, 2nd gear. I don't really mind though, it feels more industrial to me which I like.

I drove the 2.0T, the turbo was fun

So far it has the highest points. There's an emerging after market and I'm pretty sure I could wash and detail it in like 2 hours max

I drove a friend's GC, 3.8, 3 pedals, etc. I was really impressed. Like, really impressed. And the brembos were fantastic.

Enjoy your new purchase!

Glad you like the car, i put serious thought into buying one. Especially since the V6 in reviews matches Nismo Z numbers on track and drag. Bought a Mustang GT instead though....

Is this turbo or V6?

Kinja'd!!! Kanaric > Tim (Fractal Footwork)

I drove the Genesis and WRX before I bought the Mustang GT. You made the right choice between BRZ, Genesis, and WRX. Especially since you got the V6.

I had a '12 WRX before and the new WRX wasn't bug enough of an improvement for me and I wanted a V8 since I never had one before. If the Genesis had a V8 I would of bought it.
